Powerboatlistings.com

Am I the only one who thinks the prices are way to high relative to today's market? I wouldn't pay the prices of most of those boats three years ago, let alone today!

I agree some of them are high but they are FSBO and not brokered. Some people are upside down, out of touch, or they are just old ads. I think mine was priced well.......generated alot of calls at first but not many lately.

Most of the ad's there are really old!

They contacted me about putting the fountain on there site and even said I should rasie my asking price. Silly dumb _sses. Not looking to make money I just want it gone.

LostinBoston 12-25-2009 02:17 PM

MY NT is on there for 175. I mostly get calls from brokers.

Sick Stinger 12-26-2009 09:09 AM

Yup all old posting really. I didnt realize it calling on one last year and he said "I havent had the boat for 2 years where did you get the listing info".

Old thread but is the site now down or closed, whatever you call it when the site is no longer?

It is still up I was on it last night looking at random stuff. Some ads are SUPER old as stated.

CharlieWhiskey85 01-24-2022 06:17 PM

Yea the site is total trash at this point.

DrFeelgood 01-24-2022 07:59 PM

site is still working. Always have to check the listing date on any ads. Its free to list, so can't really be too surprised.

Looks up and running to me....... https://www.powerboatlistings.com/
The problem is that if people don't delete their ads, the ads stay forever.

Wildman_grafix 01-25-2022 05:47 AM

Strange it does not open for me on my I-Phone, Mac or PC.

Wildman_grafix 01-25-2022 05:53 AM

Ok, shut off my wifi on the phone and I can get to the site. Like my IP is blocked?

I read a post on here some time ago saying the site doesn’t provide an option to ‘recover your password’ if you forget it. That would explain a lot of dead ads, sellers can’t get back in to access their info.

I still like the site, it’s good for reference of different models, engines, options etc. (just gotta check the dates!)

Agree it totally helped me when I was buying my new boat.

That site would have as much traffic as the OSO classifieds IF they actually purged the listings after 90/120/180 days if they are not providing a method to recover password....A lot of old listings - how long has Doc owned the enclosed 52 OL?

It is a great site and resource - just poorly maintained.

I mean, it is free and no ad pop ups or any other BS. I can look at a sales date, figure it out and appreciate it for what it is. Not to mention, you can go back a few years and find boats that are for sale again, prices they were selling for before. It's actually a unique resource.

cigrocket 01-25-2022 10:54 AM

I sent a simple email to the contacts stating that I sold the boat and gave them my credentials and they removed it within 3 days. If people did that, then things would be a bit cleaned up.

Wildman_grafix 01-25-2022 10:56 AM

Funny one of the reasons I wanted to get to the site is because I know of something for sale that I had seen on there years ago.

Wanted to see the difference in asking price from then to now.:lolhit:

cigrocket 01-25-2022 01:20 PM

Best not to look, lol. Prices are ......Wow

TexomaPowerboater 01-25-2022 02:35 PM

When I know the boat is sold I tell them to remove the ad and they usually do.
