Bolt on towing mirrors
Looking for some towing mirrors to fit my 2001 Tahoe anyone have any suggestions. Iv'e seen lots of different kinds just looking for ones that work well. Does anyone use these www.hensleymfg.com/mckeshmirrors.html they claim they don't mark up the door but i'm sceptical. Thanks

I use a mirror from LUCERIX that bolts on in place of the factory mirror. It's has electrical adjustment and heated. Has a much larger head than the stock mirror and does not shake in the wind.

I'm also interested in something. That McKesh looks pretty cheesy. Has anybody seen or tried the slip-on or strap-on style extenders for the small car-like Chevy mirror?

I have several customers that have bought the slip on style by CIPA from me. Everyone seems to be happy w/ them.
You might want to talk to your local GM parts counter too. You could buy a set of HD towing mirrors that would bolt directly to your Tahoe. You would also have the option of getting manual, power, or power and heated by going this way too. I believe they slide in and out also. Good luck Buck #183 |
Thanks for the reply guys I will look into your suggestions.

I've tried those clamp on fender type mirrors. Found that they vibrated so badly, that I couldn't see anything with them. Ultimatly took them off before the end of the trip. Prefered having a blind spot than a spot of continuous motion distracting me.
