Definatly PSI, they are proven. Whipple still is working on thier Research and Design, a couple of the kinks to work out.

i disagree,the psi or the whipple take way less power to operate,than a roots blower.less parasitic loss equils more crankshaft power.the best roots blower eats up way more power than a psi 206d,and generates a lot more heat in the intake charge.

Ok, say you go with the Whipples. Next question, carbs on top or throttle body and fuel injection?

Either one works good, we ran Whipple R980 and A980 on my drag car, now PSI. and got a couple boats with R980's. Dont have to turn the whipple as hard, if you are talking about the old ones. The PSI is about 30 lbs lighter and looks better.
I like carbs because I can fix those and dont have to mess with calibrations.

On common marine engines, below 1600hp, they will take close to the same power, but have cooler temps. Ours makes far more low end torque and has significantly better fuel/air distribution and idle characteristics. You can't idle a 7.5L PSI gas version down to 800rpm. Not that many want too, but we have plenty that do.

Ya, thats really, really not true. We had to open up some clearance for applications that don't run the fuel through the SC so now we have "dry" and "wet" clearances. We also have "race" and "pleasure".

Rear entry EFI is by far the best. Rotors are sealed 360deg with no leak path.

PSI's housing design is horrible, the inlet is 100% wrong for performance, which is why everyone in the drag world modifies them. Rotors need to be sealed as they move air through the housing. Compression is increasing as the air moves axially through the housing, therefore you lose compression and airflow as the rotor goes by the open portion of the housing.
