Kimmer... Have you considered selling your boat without that big azz 540? You might be better off buying a used motor to drop in there and selling that 540 seperate.

One good thing about the current market is that things now selling for what they are actually worth not someones inflated dream price.
Still a lot of sellers that need to come down to earth though.

Tell him to get something 15k if its his first boat/boating experience. He'll be shocked at the maintenance prices if hes never owned a boat before.
