Stock boost on the 700sci is 7lbs at 5400 rpm. The stage 1 kit uses the stock supercharger pulley, so increased boost is a matter of rpm. (typically about 2 lbs of boost increase respectively) The rev limiter is raised aproximately 400 rpm. The timing curve is altered. The fuel curve is altered. The boost curve is altered via the boost bypass controller. The innercooler water supply is re-routed in order to pick up cooler water, thereby lowering intake temperatures below stock levels. Both motors have a stock 7.5 to 1 compression ratio, which is extremely low. Of note is that both of these motors are able to acheive over their advertized horsepower ratings at just 100 rpm above the stock 5400 rev limiter. Chris |
Thanks for sharing! Very cool stuff!!

IMHO - Chris has provided a nearly unending stream of fantastic information. I for one, hugely appreciate the effort. U.D. |
Would a 700 stock computer work on a 600 just for a quick bolt on?

Drastically different fuel, boost, and timing curves due to the smaller supercharger pulley and more agressive cam in the 700. Chris |
Chris, has he run the stage 2 (PCM + 3.75" pulley) yet on the dyno?

Dustin has been sick... so things got a little behind.
He is working on the new programing for the Stage II for this motor. The original Stage II for the 700sci made about 815 horsepower, but he feels that he can do better. Of note again is that with the new stage 1 he did for the 700sci, that it was making about 750+ horsepower, and then he removed the air cleaner... and the horsepower jumped to just under 780. They are in the prototype stages of manufacturing a new air cleaner because the stock one is so restrictive with the higher horsepower levels these motors are capable of. This should be a great bolt on for any 600 or 700 Sci motors. Chris |
i imagine something like this would definatly negatively affect your resale of your boat if you have 700's and do even just a stage I upgrade. Right?
