Email me and I will send you pics, we have sold three boats with 850's in them.

I need to find a 42 Lightning with 850sci's to see where they install the pickups. It took an entire year to work out low water pressure feeding the engines. Should have the boat dialed in for the next owner.

Are you talking the stock 700 SCi numbers or the stage I and II Whipple numbers?

Are you talking stock 700sci or the Whipple Stages I and II ?

The Whipple Stages I & II, are new programs that have been developed in the last couple of weeks. These will be replacing the older Stage I & II programs for the PCM.

The real question is do the motors really have the internal parts to survive for long periods of running with these type of numbers

What are the results that you have seen? Have you guys dynoed a 700? What did it make? I'm curious.

There's nothing wrong with our SuperFlow dyno. We calibrate the dyno before every engine. Each motor is run multiple times to get consistent readings, all temps are repeated for best comparison.

Also, the engine is never removed for the stage 1 and 2 upgrades, so even if the Superflow was off for some unknown reason, were comparing back-to-back which gives real world results.

Were not some back woods outfit pulling numbers out of the sky with some 50 year old dyno. We run 10 air fuel meters, 8 egt's, air temp, air charge temp, data log boost above and below, fuel psi, timing......

We have standard correction, SAE and observed/dyno power, std has been the highest at all times, SAE has been 20-30hp down depending on which motor were refering too. I've run 15 and 30 second sweeps, as well as steady state to see if the power varies.

Are you comparing to the test your running on your own dyno? Or someone else's dyno?

In other words... the power increases for the various stages of kits, are the real world horsepower increases from the base (stock) horsepower level.

Very cool!

Chris, what is the status on the oversized replacement intercooler fittings?

For 600sci and 700sci motors:

Here is the cad drawing of the new oversized replacement innercooler fittings. They are a true an-12 (3/4") through the entire piece.

By comparison, the stock fittings are 1/4" on the inlet side of the innercooler, and 1/2" on the exit side. This is to maintain water pressure for the motor.

These new innercooler fittings should be used with a seperate pickup for the innercooler, along with a seperate strainer.

They should be available in about two weeks, and when set up properly, will drastically reduce intake temperatures.

Also, by removing the innercooler from the motor water flow equation, the heat exchanger will be getting more water, making it more efficient.

that's a good question. What is the recommended rebuild time stock(merc) and what with the wick turned up? Is merc using the good H beam rods and good pistons?
