30ft Velocity Twim OB Trailer
I need a trailer to pickup a boat. I tried to post in the correct section but no luck.
Looking for a nice used or new 5000# Tandem Axle drive on bunk trailer for a 1985 30 Velocity OB.
Aluminum or Steel. Needs to Make a Trip From Miami to Madison, Wi with no issues. . A spare, tongue jack and swing or removeable tongue woudl be great.
Spoke to Steve at Velocity. Says a Hull of this vintage should be around 3000# with interior ready for power. I'm adding 1000# for the motors & 500# for batteries rigging and gas for a total of 4500#.
Figure 5000# capacity should do it.
Do not want a Tri-Axle as they are to hard to move arond and they float when in the water
If nothing comes up I'll most likely end up picking one up at Ameritrail on the way Down
If anyone has lnfo or has owned this boat in a OB I would like to talk to them.
Boat will be rigged this season for Performance & Pleasure with stock 225 JohnnyRudes. Boat will go on weight diet. Figure it should go 65-70 flyin on the pad and tabs. More 2 Stroke OB Power will come later if Boat handles OK.
I have experience in this area. Any Reponse appreciated.

I've been looking everywhere when I can.
No luck on nice used so far. I've seen Lots a Junk though.
Since this is a OB hull its light for a 30 ft. comes in at 4500# rigged and dry.
3 Quotes on new Aluminum all at $4500-$5000. Custom fit to hull with factory pattern from Velo is the same price! Some will pickup and fit to boat for me. A nice service to offer

6000-7000#Load/7000-8000# GVWR
2 - 3500# Tandem Torsion axles
Surge disc all 4
Tongue jack
5 Spoke Mags/Goodyear marathons
LED lights
Reverse lights
4 bunks
Removable tongue
I remember south FL Aluminum trailers in this size used to be $2500-$3000. Then I remembered that was over 20 years ago.
It's never easy.
