575 boat with regular transoms..what type of numbers are u guys seeing? and what difference would its be with a shorty..

Smitty 01-14-2010 06:52 AM

in my research I have seen that combo delivering mid to upper 80's

BillR 01-14-2010 08:31 AM

Mine runs 94. But they average 91 - 93.
Shortys may give a few MPH, but getting on plane is a real challenge - esp if the water is not flat.

Bill,
what rpm do you turn? and what props? also do you have an ITS or regular? The boat I am helping with is a regular transom 575 with whipple inner cooler kit...not sure on the props but it jumped to 5700 real fast on the demo ride...havent had it out other than that..

Quinlan,
What type of power do you make now? I remember reading about the pump up...what did they do again?

I know of one on Lk. Erie that runs 87 on a regular basis with stock 575's. Under the right conditions 90 seems likely.

My '02 with Whiples ran 93-94 easy with some throttle left.
Standard XR's and 32's
