Skaterfest reservations
We are planning on accomodating a large group of people.....and space at the event will not be a problem....... Come by land (plenty of parking), sea (marina slips available), or air (Allaire airport for private aviation is only minutes away)..... But, let us know as far in advance as possible, what your requirements are
Call Professional Marine Racing at 732-477-7037, if your boat needs special handling, launching, dockage, etc.... Also... make your hotel/motel reservations NOW. You can find a place, but distance from the lodging locations will grow as the event get's closer... Oh, and if you don't like speed, awesome power, World Class designs, Super trick custom graphics, hanging out with great people, or unlimited rigging, construction and set up tips...... skip the event......;) We'll keep a light on for ya! T2x |
Made my resevations and sent the check. Gonna call the motel tomorrow!!!
|
do you suppose you could get me a slip at the marina for my new 46' skater with quad 3500hp turbines.....
i am going to try to make it down on my new bike :D |
The closest motel is called the Brick Motor Inn, in Bricktown NJ. It's no more than 500 yards from Skaterfest.
The phone is 1 732 840 0400 and they have availability for the 17 - 19th. It's $75 per night. Don't expect a lot, at least it's right next to a diner. |
Ron P - Just called and confirmed my room for Friday and Saturday nights. Amazing you have a five star facility that close to the event:D :D Sure hope T2x lets an Eliminator guy into the fest;)
|
Uncle Toys,
Bring your own pillows! Call me about the train pick up as we get closer to the date. Ron |
is there a website with the schedule for skaterfest? And who is goign to hook me up with a ride :D
i'll gladly trade a ride for ina skater for a spin on my r6 |
Puder, where ya been boy. www.darrensoffshorephotos.homestead.com is the official site for Skaterfest. Everything is listed to make your life easier.
Bring the R6 or take the train and I'll pick you up. Penn Station to Bayhead via NJ Transit. Come on down Friday night so I can get you and Uncle Toys at the same time. Or you might want to sleep in that bad Skater of yours. |
Puder:
Be careful with all that power............. you might overshoot Skaterfest and end up in Mexico. T2x |
I made my reservation at the Best Western and got the last room available. If I put my Skater in Puder you got a ride with me my man!
Shane:cool: |
Shane,
It has been a dream of mine to get a ride in a skater. If you launch your boat, is there any chance that i may be able to get a ride? Thanks and sorry to bother you. Chris |
Chris,
You are certainly MORE than welcome if we dunk it! It is only a 24 though...I hope that doesn't disappoint you. Looking forward to meeting you and taking some for a ride. Shane |
Shane, the Best Western is only 5 miles west of Skaterfest on Rt 70. Get off the Parkway at exit 88 and it's right infront of you.
Plenty of boat ramps and travel lifts on either side of ProMarine and the 5 mile long river awaits you just outside of the marina. Let's take that 24 and wring her out a bit! |
Shane,
No way does that disappoint me. I would be more than happy just to look at it. Thanks again. Chris |
See you boyz in 3 weeks!:D
|
Shane,
..you're gonna have to sell tickets!!:p ..oh, and I'll take one too!! :D mc |
Hi Ron,
Thinking of going across from Jone Beach Inlet. What do you suggest as far as marina and hotel? Alo what heading should be looking for? Is it 245? Shane!!, Whats doing bro? Looking forward to a great summer "knock on wood". I'm taking the Powerplay across for the weekend. Let see if we can hook up. ;)zzie |
There will be a selection of Skaters in the water..... all sizes.... y'all bring your goggles now hear.....
T2x |
Ozzie, heading????, all I know it's the second inlet south from Sandy Hook. The first inlet is Shark River and the second is Manasquan Inlet. You can dock at Skaterfest and then walk 300 yards to the Brick Hotel I mentioned earlier.
Other than that, try the Crystal Point Marina as it has an attached hotel. Its not far from Skaterfest. |
Hiy Ron,
I'll try the Crystal Point Marina...thanks ;)zzie |
Don't expect much, and bring your own pillow and sheets:D
|
If you're coming by land....consider some of the Bed and Breakfasts at Point Pleasant and Bay Head...... These are clean neat, and you can hear the surf at night.
T2x |
Bodyshot,
I already had you in my reservation book.;) Ozzie, Glad to hear you are coming! I to am looking forward to seeing you soon. We should have GREAT TIME WHOOPIN" it up! Charlie is coming to but I think he is trailering. This time we each go a rip in the others boat okay? Talk to you soon. Shane |
Big Shane! Big Ozzie! Secret Agent Will Be There You Can Count ON That! Shane My Aunt's House is one block behind Best Western on Laffayatte Dr. I will try to get Charlie to go.
|
Thanks Shane!
See you then! |
Secret Agent
Hey are you the guy buying Pauls Boat, we met in Miami when I told Charlie it was for sale. So you are picking it up the day after Daytona, at Lake X? |
SHANE , I believe after you get off the Parkway at Exit 88 , in order to get to BEST WESTERN, you will probably have to bear right and go down Route 70 West for the next U-TURN. I don't think you can access their lot by going Left. Looking forward to seeing everyone at SKATERFEST!;)
|
I have booked the Ramada in Toms River, anyone staying there?
Philip |
Ron - Brick Motor Inn?
Dude come on - we're not renting rooms by the hour :P |
What can I tell you, it's the closest motel. Uncle Toys wanted to be withing walking distance.
|
There is a RAMADA INN at the intersection of routes 70 and 9. From what I have heard, it was worth the extra 5 minute drive from Skaterfest if you didn't want to end up in a lower quality Motel. ;)
|
Is the Ramada a junky place? If so PLEASE tell me and I will change the reservation to the Ramada today. Anyone have the phone number? Thanks!
|
DaveP - I'm leaving my wife in Boston, so it's only for me. Plus, I'm native SoCal, so I have no cullcha. (sorry, thought I should start working on my joizy accent :D )
Ron P - You are kidding about bringing my own pillow and sheets, aren't you?  |
Yes that was just a joke. I'm sure they supply pillows and blankets.
The Ramada is a nicer hotel about 5 miles away at the intersection of Rt 9 and Rt 70 - 732 905 2626. They have 2 suites left at $149. |
Sandpiper!
..and lest we forget...all of the above locations are only a short ride from the Sandpiper!!
:D |
I meant to ask if the Best Western is a dump? I have reservations there and if it is a dump I want to change. Seems like everything is filling up quickly! Please advise on the Best Western.
Thanks, Shane |
Shane, the Best Western is fine. Just don't expect a big lobby with floral arrangements. Bring your own pillow.:D
|
Don't worry Shane, he's just kidding about the pillow;)
|
Hey Ryan thanks for the tip at the Miami show It shure paid off well I owe ya one! Are you going to skaterfest?
|
Nope, I'll be at the APBA race in Marathon that weekend. I wish I could go though it sounds like fun.
