Just a recommendation, but you're probably better off paying someone that actually does this for a living and has liability insurance. It's nice to save a couple of hundred dollars here and there, but if the boat weighs 11k pounds it probably wasn't cheap. I'd make sure the guy doing the pulling had insurance to cover anything that happened in transit.

I agree it should be only be pulled by a professional. I would not trust an expensive boat to a stranger or friend of a friend trying to a get a cheap rate. Insurance and liability are a couple of minor issues....

Uship.com most shippers have insurance and the rates are competitive

it is a 28' searay sundancer cruiser on a triaxle trailer, i might be a little high on the weight, prob around 10k max, i will pass along those contacts, he got a quote from someone but i thought it was awfully high, high enough that if he wasnt a friend i would have gone and gotten it for the $

If you want a comparison, my Step dad had a 42' Eagle hauled from FL to MI and it cost him around $1,100. He did not have a trailer and they used a hydrolic trailer to haul it, but I'm not sure how much difference that makes.
