Who sells F16 style quarter canopies?
 

Looking at a boat project and trying to decide if 1/4 canopies are affordable. They do not have to be actual F16's I like the the thinner and clearer aftermarket ones. Who sells them and what do they cost?

But wait. Price includes Packaging & Handling. I missed this set by 2 weeks said he sold the set for 1200.00, but these were the real f-16 canopies with the gold film, he didn't like them because of that and they are about 1/2 inch thick he told me.

Brad, I can get you the full wing canopy for 2k each, poycarbonate 1/2" with scratch coat. Our full windshield kit is 6k-8k,our smart glass is proprietary and is not sprayed on like the others,base and glass are cnc'd. all the other manufacturers are just using acrylic , not poly. we are building new safety cocoon capsules for race boats

I did talk to Aeromarine about the full windshield kit. $12-15,000. I am looking at converting a boat and was blown away how much that was. The more I rig and work on boats I completely understand why custom boats can cost so much to manufacture.

I would try Carlos,if you could get a old one for a mold, bet it would be 70% less.He told me he can get all types of material My windshield went from $1800 to 400:eek:He has a pick of a F16.

I saw them at PRI they have a coating that want scratch .they sent me a sample kit with a test piece and steel wool,It didn't scratch and I tried.real expensive

Brad, I know where you can get the Canopy's for real.. And probably for a good price... Call Peter at Skater 269-857-4308.... When I visited the factory last year he had a warehouse full of them... He even admitted to me that he over ordered and he was not sure if he could ever sell them all... I am sure he still has some and they are the real deal canopy's... Hope this helps...

Wow that's is pricey.

Brad is leaving out that the KIT includes a deck section that has the complete register made for the windscreen all CNC cut so everything is 100% accurate and symmetrical. Then it includes a optically clear windshield that Aero Marine spend big $$ making the tooling.

Price what it cost to make this stuff, exclude the computer design time cost, and you will spend about 40-50K to make this. Getting it all for a fraction is the smartest way to go.

I have a pair off of my Eliminator from aero Marine long story but let me know if your intrested

We do the F-16's in 5/8 acrylic $1,900.00 a side regular, $2,200 hardcoated.
If you want polycarbonate (it has to be coated) Shields does a good one. If you want the original aircraft F-16 reject (with the gold coating)=Texstars
If Skater has a bunch of them. jump on them!

Is your supplier willing to make more of these windshields?

We will be at Miami Boat show next week displaying a Spectre 36 quarter canopy as well as our full wrap-around windshield. It is always better to see the clarity in the parts before you purchase to make sure you are getting a CLEAR product. You can also see our product on all of the Skaters that will be in the show.
