My boys are having lung surgery
Well the decision was finally made. After much cogitation, soul searching, and finally finding an insurance company that will accept it, my boys are going in for lung-enhancement surgery. This was a tough decision for the mother and I. Although the boys are a little smaller than most, they still run and play hard without a whisper of problems. I guess some parents will probably consider us superficial for subjecting our boys to unnecessary surgery. We understand their concerns. But, we came to the decision that if the boys were ever going to be contenders, this enhancement was necessary.
The good Dr. Semper has been contacted and he has been in touch with the specialist in Fresno. I sent the deposit up yesterday and it looks like I will be dropping the boys off right after the Spring Heat Wave poker run. If everything goes as planned, they will be up and running around the backyard in time for the Eliminator Regatta. Dr. Semper tells me this is a very easy procedure. Not out patient mind you, so I will need to leave the boys in Fresno for a while. That will break my heart, but I guess it’s necessary. If you remember back to my earlier posts, my wife was never that excited about having twins. But over time, she has come to love and enjoy them. Especially all the attention she gets when we take them out in public. Well, she certainly was not happy about this surgery. It took a lot of convincing on my part to get her to agree. In fact, the decision was so difficult for her it made her nauseous. I offered to get her something to help her stomach – 7up, Pepto Bismal? She said no, just bring her a couple of carrots.   |
Congrats!
I know a lot of soul searching went onto this decision, I think you'll be pleased. The specialist in Fresno is highly recommended. As much fun as the boys have already brought into your lives, you'll be ecstatic over their new behavior post enhancement.
We'll have to get together again sometime, with the all the family so the boys can play together!:D |
Best of luck to your boys!!!!!!!!!!
|
good luck i wish them well!
|
Thanks Cattitude. Believe it or not, you had a material impact on helping my wife make the decision! Drinks are on me next time we meet!

Best of luck,

And how are we going to get them to breath easier? :D:D

|
Your a bad influnce Uncle Toys. Couple of carrots? I hope you mean the orange ones!
|
Sorry Ron, pretty sure she's talking about the white carrots. Glad you got it. I was beginning to wonder if the joke was to subtle. Now don't let Terrie read this. ;)
Miss Amy, I'm disappointed you didn't catch it first. |
UT, the enhancement will benefit your "FAMILY" greatly. A friend just finished his "enhancement" of a 30 Daytona (twin HP500EFIs) and the results are dramatic!!!!! You do realize this just opens up that inevitable "can of worms", faster, faster, faster!!!!! We will be in Havasu 26-29th, hope to see you there.
|
Now that was GOOD!
Dude, now that was some major encryption! You should work for the CIA and or the FBI on coding. Good luck with the enhancements!
Shane:cool: |
I see you gave up on the gas saving route & went the carrot route. I would ask, "only carrots?", but ? is how many? Can not wait to hear how much faster the boys are going to run after surgery than before.
Please let me know what cattitude did/say to convince wife to let the boys have surgery. |
Commission?
I'll need to call the Fresno office and inquire about compensation for my services:D
|
I wish you and your boys the Best!
|
Dude, it's Spring!! Your suppose to do that kind of surgery in the off season!!
But, then again your from sunny cali. and there is no off season! I must be nice! |
Good Luck with the boys UT. I'm sure they will thank you for the operation later. They will definately BREATHE much easier...;) :D :D :D
|
UT, have I got a story for you.
Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed poor HVAC owner barely kept his family fed then one day he was looking through a book, his wife came around the corner and said you better let me have a look. Boat that is. Eliminator style. Well, the next thing you know I was flying to Miami ordering an eliminator, trying to keep myself happy. They said eliminator boats is the place you ought to see... Well, I'm not here to tell you that story. My old boat I was trying to get in the 100 mile an hour club, if I did I would keep it. Well, it went 103. Guess what, I lied, now you want to try talking convincing. So, I got the Eliminator and she got ALL of her promises taken care of including remodeling the house, oh yeah, being her sex slave for the rest of my life. Some of us have it really tough. |
Audiofn & Advantage_Rob – Whipple Charged 500hp EFI, 6 lbs boost, polished aluminum - BABY!!!!
|
light weight, and big block power. Perfect!! That will be a BIG BIG BIG difference.BIG I SAY
|
If I'm thinking correctly, which doesn't happen too often, you are going to end up with around 500 HP with your small blocks after the whipples, right?
Damn sounds like fun!! Keep the updates coming, I know that I'm learning from them.. |
Neverfastenuf – Your trailoring from Grand Junction? Wow! How long a drive is that?
Turbojack – I wish I could remember exactly what Cattitude said. All I can say is he’s ssmmooootthh. Once I got him going on the subject, I just sat back and listened. Easy to see why he’s in marketing! FunHome – The off season was the plan, but I couldn’t hold myself back. Reason kept coming out of my mouth, but testosterone ruled. Oh well. S.A.M. – You were doing good, then that sex slave thing. That was a visual image I didn’t need this morning.  :D :D |
UT, we can usually do the trip in approx. 9-10 hours. It looks like there will be 4 of us coming, a 30 Daytona, a 26 Daytona, a 300 Eagle and a Nordic. It is a fairly long pull but really not that bad. I know there are others making a lot farther pull.
|
ut-you can light a big fat cigar at 100mph!
|
ya wouldn't be planning on posting any pics of those twins would ya??:D :D :D :D
sorry:rolleyes: couldn't help it |
UT: All of spring and 1/2 of summer is going to be testing. When it's all over your going to have 4 sets of props and may be 2 new Imco lower ends. But that the fun of it. Good Luck.
