In all honesty, spend some time at the biscayne bay marriott, the in the water show over there is one of the very best parts of the show. Go out to the end of the fuel dock, and take it all in.

I would not miss the sail show either esp if you are with someone who may not be so interested in boats as it is held at a huge waterfront mall with lots of shops, bars, restaurants.
