That's a pretty sweet little package with some pretty lofty claims right there... The price is a kick in the nutz, but if it is everything that they say it is it sounds like it might be worth it.

Weismann is building 650hp small blocks, or at least someone they know is.

Yes, Ive seen the advertising and the claims. No, I am not a Guru of small block performance marine engines. Have we developed and built several larger cubic inch noramlly aspirated LS based engines, you bet!
GM does not back a warranty on this supercharged crate engine for marine performance usage period!! When one or two are in a boat and have run a hundred hours or so with no problems, then I will say they might have really got something here. Ponder this, if this supercharged 365 cubic inch engine is so good for marine performance usage in moderate size boats why did Mercury, Volvo, etc. pass on its use and development. Could they also know something most others don't?? Humm? I know they tested them extensively! But hey, don't let me stop anyone, go ahead and buy one or two and give'um a go! I love to hear success stories! Best Regards, Ray @ Raylar |

Best Regards, Ray @ Raylar like you say maybe someone will by some that is on oso and try them out , i guess it could be a hit or mis , hopefully a hit , i thought about it as far as price go's it seem's like a good price but once you add on a xr drive and hp transomplate you could have bought a merc 525 or save a few dollar's if you are just repowering and get one of your 496 upgrade's mike |
