34 today! New job, second son on the way, beautiful wife! Now all I need is to get my Suburban back from the shop and life is perfect.

Happy birthday to ya. Oh, and if your suburban is anything like mine...get use to having it in the shop.

It's two months new. No problems but body damage. My father has an 89 bowtie with over 200k miles on it and it has had very few problems. Before that he had a 77 GMC burb, zero problems if you don't count the theft in 89 that prompted him to get a new one.

No Havasu for me for a while due to the pregnancy. But I will be in the valley Monday. Will you and Nort be around? If so, let's have a beer!

Now that's what I call good service from a truck. I have not been so lucky.

Two trans before 10,000 miles
Four rear end oil blow out the vent problems-first year
Two alt and four batteries-first 2 years.
Three A/C problems-current compressor shot-no A/C
Three over head concole knobs
Two front hub leaks-first year
Two fuel lift pumps-frist four years
13 ,yes that's 13, fuel injection pumps-first 5 years


Good news is..due to all the time in the shop, this baby still looks like new. 8 years old and only 90,000 miles, pretty sad. Needless to say, I bought a ford this time.

Did I forget to mention, mine is a diesel! GM just never could build a diesel. I hope the best for you.

SeaDated-we have a 2001 Z71 suburban-been in the shop 3x's. New battery/A/C probs, TV probs, etc......just keeps dying on me!!! Drive to the store-won't start. Last time it died when I had the trailer in the water-trying to back up & hubby starts screaming STOP!!! It went dead in Reverse!!!!:eek: :mad: Almost lost the whole truck!
