Yeah, they never break, never start pissing saltwater ALL over your engine, never dribble water into the bilge via the balancer, and heck, the bearings never seize (usually at WOT) and the pump flat ass stop turning and shred the belt (s) leaving your floating around somewhere in the ocean nowheres near your dock or trailer...

It's a good thing that never happens... Sounds like it would sure suck if it did!

Well chit, then remove the pistons, rods, crank, valves, springs, exhaust, outdrives, etc.... But keep the oars. We don't want anything that can break down being used.

If you were to paddle to hard you might break an oar though.

cross-overs

say what you want to about cross-overs,but one thing for sure, they are cheaper to replace and my biggest thing, installing one gave me more room around the motor and it cleaned up the appreance of the motor, just my 2cents.

Naw, the wife won't work that hard. :)

I wasn't implying a cir pump is 100% trouble free. Just have less issues pertaining to WP and temps. Some users have great luck with cross overs, some don't. Nothing more implied. :lolhit:

One other thing that no one has mentioned is the weight saved.
Those G.M. pumps weigh quite bit.
Went to crossovers on mydry exhaust Merc 465HPs and never had problems and niether did the owners after me.
Crossovers are the way to go.

The only thing you would have to worry about is the water pressure and water flow...Make sure your getting enough through the headers at low speeds and that its not over 30 psi at WOT and you'll be OK.
