it was piranha, they were talking about the cold water and the different species that can survive it. As someone said earlier, they are there because people like Anthony put them in kinda crazy but according to the show they are swimming among ya.

They are very tasty, went fishing for them on an Amazon trip years ago. No surprise, used little chunks of beef for bait.

One got loose in the bottom of the boat as the guide was removing the hook, he jumped up on the seat until it stopped flopping around! They are all teeth.
