I dreamt of buying a boat for years and wouldnt pull the trigger , bought mine towards the end of the summer , 4 trips out , looking for bigger power , 2 weeks later sold stock power , bought new motors ,bigger props , and still looking for other goodies..... welcome to the club ...... if your married just point the wife to this site and show her that your not the only one with a problem...

Got a great deal and its a good looking boat. The wife picked it out too. Only thing I'm worried about is it have the 502 mag mpi motor which i believe is 415hp. It has a mirage plus 25p prop. It should be a decently quick boat? good acceleration? I wish it were nice enuogh to take it for a spin and find out for myself

Unless you go boating with a bunch of 40 foot 100mph boats, you will be super happy with your Checkmate. They make a good looking nice riding all around boat. The engine package should make it a great turn key boat. I would think it should be 65 mph boat. Congrats!
