my maiden voyage went bad very quickly this weekend...never got the boat in the water until 6pm last night...was going to make a quick run then go to BAB to hang out for a bit....made it from Light House marina to about 1/4mile past the break water and something locked up in the outdrive!....boat stopped dead and shut off...i thought the engine locked up but if i bump it to try and start it the wheel turns so i'm guessing its in the drive...damn OMC!

so i guess its off to the shop to see whats wrong....now i'm trying to figure out if i did something wrong after pulling it off, having a crack welded in the upper case, then putting it back on...i thought everything lined up well and i put lube back in it.. Oh well we'll see what happens.

anyone got an open spot for next saturday? :p

Team Big Dave going down again in the annual donkey ball tourney to team JC/JP. Word has it he went through hypno therapy in preparation for this years matches:evilb:

Summer Blast Update.....Date Change
 

Based on current extend forcasts, the decision has been made to change the run from Saturday, Jul 10th to Sunday Jul 11th. Hopefully this works for everyone, but we need to give the Bayside enough notice. As previously discussed, weather is key to an enjoyable day. Also, the Plattsburgh Mayor's Cup finishes Saturday night. So it will actually be less conjested and thereby safer for all as well as easier access into the Boat Basin.

A Game Plan pkg will be handed out at the City Docks (Clare & Carl's) Sunday morning starting at 0930 with game rules and route explanation. We'd like to start right at 1100 if possible. We are working the final issue of handling the boats at Doc's for those that can't pull out at Peru launch...stay tuned.

Okay everyone. Looks like everyone is pumped to press on Sunday. The card crew is set and so isn't the Bayside. So unless the weather drastically changes, we are going to be at Clare & Carl's by about 9:30 to start receiving boats!!:boat::boat::boat::party-smiley-020:

Well the weather is looking great for tomorrow. Low 80's, sunny and calm winds. Couldn't ask for better. Hope to see everyone. Natives are getting pumped. Looks like Doc & Carol are puttin' on a feast!!!!:ernaehrung004::ernaehrung004::ernaehrung 004:

Finally getting a chance to post pics from the 4th, great time at G-Stones and the ride down...and back...

Oh bummer. I wish I knew about this earlier. I have already committed to a free brunch cruise from 12-2 on the spirit of Ethan Allen. Where will you guys be at 2:30 or so it would be cool to hook up and meet some of you.

Just got back from the turtle, saw Doc and Carol. They pumped and ready for the run ans feast afterwards!

I just want to thank everyone for supporting the great day. Weather was perfect...even a bit too hot! But the lake conditions were great.....no causulties.....a few bumps, some minor mechanicals.....BUT all and all great day. I want to throw out a few "Shout Outs"
