I'll just stay with State Farm

Well you certainly won't be going with them! :D

Racegirl3 03-09-2010 08:50 AM

Solicitation .... hehe ...

LapseofReason 03-09-2010 08:52 AM

I have them for my cars, bikes and house and was wondering if they would do my next boat, so 2 1075's they will do but not 3 500's ?

Yup I called on a 98 and they also said "no bolats older than 5 years. It had twin 525sc. And they said "no more than 500 hp each".
Great program huh? They sure picked a perfect advertising option ......

They insure my 1988 Sea Ray Pachanga? I had a claim with them and it was a B.S. deal "not going to get into details" but they didn't do me any favors and I am switching soon.

I'm interested to hear if you care to share. I currently use them and have made auto claims in the past with great success. I like them much more than AAA, and IMO State Farm is WAY too expensive (they're about double for my Baja). I've never had to make a marine claim, but I'm curious to hear other stories.

+100000000000000000

Someone said they'd depreciate a new quarter to eighteen cents. Or something to that effect.

I'd say run the other way, don't walk.

Raylar 03-09-2010 10:37 PM

Why do they spend so much on advertising??

Generally when a company does a ton of television and media advertising its because the product is usually weak and needs a lot of "salesmanship" to get it sold!

If you have a great product, "people will beat a path to your door!"

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

Who is any better? I won't use State Farm, AAA sucks... Does anyone have any specific examples of Progressive being bad, or is it just general bad-mouthing? I've made three auto claims through them and they were great for all three.

My buddy had new motors in a 30 formula, backed off the trailer and hit a chunk of concrete from the P.O.S. ramp that had "humped up" some how. Stopped one motor instantly, and 2 days later had that motor spin a main bearing. Come to find out it cracked a new steel crank. I would believe that a sudden stop with a solid set up could do this, And progressive said that there is no way it could do that!!:bsflag: Now I will say that it has to do with the adjuster in your area, We have a 25 year old adjuster that has designed boats since he was an infant !!! (if you know what I mean).

I may be wrong but I think George Soros is behind Progressive Insurance. If thats the case, anybody that has a policy with Progressive needs to find a new carrier IMMEDIATELY.
