I cant remember what they called it, but there was some sort of turbo booster that dropped out of the bottom of the boat and made it go warp speed. First time I saw that I realized how ridiculous the show was.

Rip Tide was a great show!
I think in the second season they had to switch to a 21' Scarab. Unafavorable insurance settlement after the other Scarab was shot up...

Back to Thunder, I seem to remember that they were able to deploy some sort of underwater JATO rockets to enable them to out run a sidewinder missle or something... Very realistic!

im getting the 3 dvd set of Thunder in pardise i found online. call me corny, but it will be something fun to watch on a rainy day.

My 28 Pantera was used in that show. I don't know how to post link but it was the blue Pantera.

It's amazing how I used to watch soem terrible stuff, just because it would have a performance boat in it. Performance boats don't seem to be a part of popular culture anymore like they were in the 80's, you never see a speed boat in movies, tv, videos anymore. it's a shame.
