closed cooling on 500efi?
Is it possible to convert the 500efi's to the closed loop cooling like the 525s? Has anyone done this ? How hard would it be?

I would suggest using Bam Marine. Mark is great to deal with.

We sell these kits. If you're running a higher HP, I can help resize the cooler for you as well. The hose routing is pretty static. Call us at 248=960-7850 so we can get the particulars. Installing the right kit is not that hard. Installing the wrong kit would not be enjoyable.

I was always told if you put closed cooled on
a motor that never had it that the antefreeze
would loosen the scale up inside and clog it up,
dont know if that true or not.

if someone knows of this , please chime in. THe Motors are suppose to have a hundred hours on them , and freshwater . I am on the coast and it will now be 50/50 salt and fresh . Just read on the horror stories of the CMI's failing and dont want the extra boost of salt helping with that.
