Just keep him supplied with Capt and diet ginger, and he'll be good. Keep him away from rum-soaked strawberries until you're sure that you don't need him AT ALL any more...

It should be aound 100 mph. I've heard of a couple of 28's with blower engines running in the teens.

These Ilmor guys continue to impress. The drive position sensor setup on the Indy is so simple, brilliant and compact that it took me a while to find it and figure it out. Once I did, they promptly helped me out in getting the same parts to read trim tab position as well. I was going to buy the Mercury SmartCraft trim tab sensors at roughly $800 for two tabs, but using Ilmor's setup will only set me back about $120, and is way, way simpler. No more cables!

Music to my ears, planning on upgrading to that setup myself too!

Started on the engine mounts today. That's a 3/4"-10 UNC bolt you see in the middle...
------------------------------------------
Finished them (except for powdercoat) this morning. Now I have to make spacers to compensate for the attachment points being higher up and farther forward..

Got the old dash and wiring stripped out in preparation for the Ilmor stuff, the bilge painted, and the hatches bonded together this weekend. If you've never used Plexus before, be prepared with lots of ventilation. That stuff is intense, but it stuck two fiberglass parts together like they were made as one.

I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel now...

Thanks, Rob. We're getting there. I wasn't so sure that we'd make the deadline for Smith Mountain Lake May 22, but R'Addiction was a huge help on Sunday. We're not giving up.

I salvaged part of the NACA ducts that we removed earlier to restore the hatch to a smooth profile. I will laminate these in for full strength, then cut the holes for the headers, and start making the blisters.

Looking good! Your guys are moving along nicely. Man with that hatch some tractor headers would look badass sticking out of the top...not very user friendly though

With the V-10, it would look like a church organ.
