Chuck had the engine in, and out, and bolted back on to the pallet before I got there at 12ish. We finished cutting the hole in the transom, drilled out the mounting holes, checked the websites for any updates, ate lunch, bolted up the transom assembly (needed an engine hoist to lift it safely and get it lined up, BEEFY assembly!!), reinstalled the engine, installed the Indy (another engine hoist moment), hung the tabs and cut out the openings in the new engine hatch for exhaust clearance..........all before 4:30pm. Cleaned up and left at 5. A good productive day. Did I mention that it all is coming back apart after some careful measuring and note taking for the rest of the rerig:cool:

R Addiction,
And if I new you like doing stuff like that...I would have put you to work at the race sites....and here you had me thinking you just like drinking and having a good time....next time I see you....I'm putting a wrench in your hand...

R Addiction 04-11-2010 04:07 PM

Gino, Remember Destin!! The steering tie rod bolt....Hell we walked all over the dry pits trying to tools to fix it. A hammer, screwdriver and duct tape in your toolbox ain't gonna work! :lolhit:

MANITIE 04-11-2010 04:18 PM

Thats right....you were pretty handy with that hammer....
and thanks for the help....you did spend some time with me to get it fixed...

Thanks again....and hope to see ya at some races this year...

Chuck...do you have any idea what she will run with that package..and what is the fastest a bat boat has run....
