Whipple 1075sci upgrade

Thought you guys would want to see our new upgrade for the 1075sci. Replaces the stock 2.3L dual superchargers with dual 2.9L superchargers.

what kind of power increase do you expect with the larger chargers plus whatever else goes along with this type of mod?

91-octane pump gas:
75hp with no cal
125hp with cal

110-octane race gas:
150hp at 1200SCI boost levels
200hp with slightly more boost

Also cooler air charge temps at same boost levels, easier on engine

Stock SC's for the most part, have failed time and time again. Multiple reasons for this, but clearances are opened up on the stock SC's, which has lower volumetric efficiency than typical 2.3L SC's. Yet many still had failures because of the constant high RPM of the compressor. We slow the SC's down nearly 5000rpm each.

Slowing the compressors down very near there peak efficiency lowers power consumption, discharge temp and increases SC life.

At the same time, we modify the calibration to not bypass as much air so we don't need to waste as much airflow and fuel. Currently the Merc systems bypass's enough air to make 1075hp at 6000 feet which could be as easy as a pulley change for the 2% of customers who run at 6000ft. Instead, each person that runs below that is giving up power, fuel and SC life. It gives up fuel because the SC's are delivering

The results are simple, more power, less fuel consumption (except on race gas setups), lower temps, better SC life, increased belt life and zero belt issues.

We also have come up with a new belt system to stop the belts from coming off, sc pulleys are over 1" larger for better contact area. Works with new and old style belt systems.

After further testing, 150hp with 91-octane, 175hp on 93 octane. 75lbs of torque increase. EGT'2 50deg cooler, air fuel per cylinder .25 from high to low (factory has #8 1 full air fuel ratio leaner), egt's 50deg from high to low.

Any of this translate to the 850 sci? Looked at doing stage 1 for the 80lbs and 6,500 but curious what else your cooking up?
