Never said he didn't have the right to. Just asked him why he would bother, as its clear he hates Lake George. The original poster said he is coming here, so telling him how much someone hates it serves no purpose.

So This Year Will Be My First Year On Lake George. I've Been Up For The Fun Run Two Years Ago And A Couple Of Weekend Here And There. How Is It? What Should A Know Before I Go? Looking Foreward To A Great Summer

I just answered the guys question about what standards they use.

As far as noise, motorcycles and snowmobiles have standards. In fact snowmobiles are worse than boats. Touch your stock exhaust and get stopped and you get a ticket.

If you hate LG so much why are you even reading this thread?

How is the Hudson around there? Any open water? Speed limits? too many locks?

Only parts, and most are too narrow/too short, too congested to run fast (safely) on. If you want to launch in Albany you can run all the way to NYC. Best place to play that is close is Sacandaga.

We've taken the boat up there a few times for day trips only. My wife loves Lk George. I like it, but it is kinda strict. We have never had a problem with police. I just follow the speed limits, wave and try to mind my p's and q's. I make sure my permit is placed on the windscreen. It's only like 8 bucks for the day. No big deal. It did take some serious research to find a decent launch. We go to either Castaway's or Fishers.

BTW, where is a good marina/hotal to stay with the boat for the night? It seems all the marina's/hotels have very small guest slips (if any for that matter) for overnight accomadations. The boat is 30' so I would need something decent.
I know they do not allow any anchoring in the bays overnight. Kinda silly, but oh well.
