agreed. Its buoyed, but the water level changes can mess you up if you are new. Best way to play is with someone like RJ as a guide.

I have to say that LG is one of the best buoyed places that I have ever been. If you pay any kind of attention you are pretty good to go there.

I will say that the marking of the Sacandaga could be better for people that are not familiar with it. But most of the problems happen when the lake is down 8' or more and people run inside the markers. I can't recall anyone having a problem during the poker runs or fun runs. I've run the lake when the level was 13-15' below normal.
If anyone wants to come up and run, let me know and I'll try to show you a good time. I'll even supply refreshments.

I don't think so. Last time I talked to him he said Insurance was getting to be a big problem. I'm thinking of having a "FUN RUN" near the end of June. Nothing spectacular, just a bunch of us having a good time..

Yes he did sell the TG.

As far as noise, motorcycles and snowmobiles have standards. In fact snowmobiles are worse than boats. Touch your stock exhaust and get stopped and you get a ticket.

If you hate LG so much why are you even reading this thread?

They do forget that Lake George was famous for its Races, and the racers that lived here. The 90dB noise rule can be argued for ever. Its a law in a lot of states, but not enforced. What I do agree on is that the people that live on the lake need to know that they do NOT own the lake. The taxpayers do. So they have no more right to say how it is used than you and I do. However most of them have a lot more zero's in their checkbooks. and like most places, money talks.

Lot of places I would like to hit in NY with the next boat. Lake George, Sacandaga, Champlain, etc. Hard to get around the beauty of the home base of the 1000 islands though. I know a lot of people get nervous about running up there but grab a gps or someone that knows where they are going and you are all set.
