Marine (white) Clarion 12 Disc Changer...
Does anyone have this unit?? I just bought one from BillR, and am going to install it soon. My dilemna...
BillR said it worked best installed vertically. AudioFN said it works best installed horizontally. Does anyone else have 2 Cents to add on this unit inparticular only? All players and changers like different angles, some even do best at 45*. I just want to know specifics on this unit, and don't want to have to install twice. Thanks!! |
Hold it horizontal and smack it around and then vertical and smack it around, see what works best :D:D:D

Ah, so I treat it just like a Girlfriend then??
:D  (just kidding everyone) |
It has been my experience that most changers work best when laying on their side. Make sure you set it up for what ever position you put it in. Make sure you adjuct the spring for the suspension on the side. The Changer is build most of them to lay flat so the carier mech has equal load on all the suspension, and also the lens can track and is less likely to bounce. Again this has been my experience.

Brian,
It all depends, we all know how you keep the Sonic Vertical, when jumping waves:D |
True that! Let me be the first to add horizon and pitch inicators to a Sonic.
For explaination click here. Good one Will. |
I had mine mounted Horizontally, never a problem!
In my experience, the Clarion's are SO stable, mount it which ever way you want and you'll be fine. |
My mistake BillR, I thought you said vertical when I bought it. I guess it is going in horzontal then.
