My windshield was painted black b/c it worked better with my paint schemeand the smoked lexan on mine looked very dated. Painting it white should not be a problem. I manage a body shop in the fairfield area if we can be of any assitance to you.

what is the name of the body shop?

How much do you think it would cost to paint a windshield? I would take it off and bring it to you.

It sounds like some people are painting the lexan with great results, and I'm sure it all comes down to proper prep and insuring you get good adhesion.

Just be cautious, and be sure you take the advice of someones that gone before you, Lexan is a plastic that continually emits a gas as it ages, thus the reason you can't tint it or a put a film over it without it eventually bubbling.

I dont know the first think when it comes to painting. If i were to do it i would have a body shop/painter do it. Thanks for all of your input. I am still looking for some Before and After shots if anyone has them. I will keep you all posted if i go through with it.

I also heard it is really hard to take the windshield off and back on. Is that true??

So i decided to take off the Windshield and have it painted. It will be painted by Reincarnation.

Taking it off was really easy and took me about 20 min. I thought it would be Lag bolted down but it was all screws.
Here are a few pictures.
