Reinstalling bravo drives

What position does the shifters go in?

RonS 04-22-2002 08:02 PM

It goes in neutral, alphas go in forward.

If you mean where they go to get the cable thingy to be out you want the shifters in reverse. That will pull it forward. Spin the prop by hand and shift to neutral to prevent damage.

I have to concur with Ron S, out of the bravo shop manual on page 2a-17, place remote control shift lever in the neutral position.....

Good luck capturing the cable in neutral. It is worth a try but if it won't capture try reverse. Oh, by the way you won't know until the drive is installed and you are at the ramp. Ever take a drive off at the ramp? In the water? :D

Donzi I do know what you mean but I did it in the parking lot ;) Just for the record I put mine in reverse so I can see things better. You have to be careful not to bend cable when installing though.
