I prefer the open top, but definitely see the merits of the hard top.
+1.........it's truly a custom built boat.

Great boat i bet you paint it with some sick colors or let toad get his hand on it and all these people would be singing a different tune.

I just LOVE flat deck Skaters. They have the look of no-nonsense raceboats. OTOH I like hardtop 100mph+ boats, they just look safer. One of my favorite Skaters is Lick This, the 46' five place canopy boat. It may not be the fastest pleasure cat but it is certainly one of the, if not THE, safest boats Peter has ever built. And I think safety should be a higher priority than speed when it comes to these boats.

Teague's 1200s run on pump gas(93). You sure can't say that about Merc's 1200s.

I like that the owner has his own taste,,just like many people have recommened a complete deck and windshield change on my hull!! The first time I saw a Skater with a F16 Canopys and the classic deck the hull looked like it was running 200 on the trailor!!
I like the race look over pleasure but would never knock a design I didn't like.Ask Tiger a little difference is nice!!
Great job Pete and crew on keeping it fresh.
Agreed 100%

Ok sure!! Mercury is the only packages I have seen on a dyno that run within a few HP of what there rated for without a crazy correction factor!! Can't say that about the strip down engines with dyno headers,, and no I have never run mercrusier. They do make 1350 on 93 with a year warranty most engine builders will not offer a warranty..
