Will a house at the end of a canal be hard to resale?? No boat lift. But you have your own boat ramp and can store your boat at the house.Plus canal goes out to the gulf.House is port charlotte fl or a house in punta gorda. Thanks

Depends if your end of the canal fills up with floating debris and/or turns into a beach at low tide. Skinny water usually turns into stinky beach at low tide. If you aren't sure put a stick in the water at high tide and see how deep it is (best case scenario) and then deduct the tide change for the worst case scenario.

For a 37 AT it won't be great but for a 17 Whaler it may not matter.

Jupiter is correct, the end of canals can get filled up with a lot of debris and sand/mud. I live along a canal in Cape Coral and have no problems with that. I also own a condo on Ft Myers beach that is at the end of a canal and it gets filled up lots of crap. It's ok for my little center console but not my Glasstream.

Personally, I would never consider a home at a dead end florida canal. There's about a dozen reasons why not.

My opinion also. We have been mid-keys, mid-canal, gulfside residents for 22 years and have seen and smell all those reasons.
Just my .02
