Default what to seal Bravo bellhousing to transom

I've pulled my bravo bellhousings and inner transom plates , and want to reinstall , I have the new o-rings , but noticed they had a black urethane around them as well. I am going through great lengths to make sure i stop any water from coming in.

If by the bellhousing you mean outer transom assembly use a little 5200. It's really just in case your transom has any low spots that your gasket might not contact. Watch tightening down that inner plate because if the inside of the transom isn't level you can crack the plate if you over-tighten.

yes i mean the outer transom. I ask because mine had black sealant of some type around it. Was just wondering what people were using.
