I dont understand why State Dock would say that?? I would try to call again and ask someone else. State dock is the place to stay if you ask me. Are you lookin to sleep on your boat or are you looking to rent a cabin? Need some more info.

i thaught it was odd also.they said we could call the week we are going down and if one of the anuall docks were open we could rent it then. but that is a chance waiting that long and not getting a slip. we have 4 boats going and dont want to moore in a cove.

I've stayed at Grider Hill - 866-387-5501
It's a nice place, they have a band every saturday night on top of the store. Plus, it's at the far West end of the lake. So if you need to go somewhere, you get some cruise time in.
We'll be out there for the 4th of July weened again this year.

Does anyone know if the water level will be back to normal this year?

rumrunner29 04-19-2010 11:28 AM

By "no more than 30 feet" they probably mean that they do not have any slips available other than the small 11 x 30 slips. You can't put a 38 fountain in one of those. That's why they said that if one of the year-round slip renters are going to be gone they would rent you one of those.

I think thw water is suppose to be down for another year or 2.
