Hey Mike!
Thanks for the response. I know that is the name he used in conversations with you, but...

...I was more or less elluding to the fact that he may have made that name up solely for the purposes of using it on this board.

You know, fake a name, fake a profile, put a bunch of stuff for sale, collect money and then fake death. I hope I'm not too far out with this...just some thoughts.

It would seem that is his real name.............doesn't anybody on this board know this guy ??? The fact that the police are curious lends me to believe that he is KNOWN in those parts.....

YIKES, sounds like a contractor I know who owes me money and claims he lost his wife in a sudden car accident and he is stuck home with two kids and can't seem to find the checkbook

Isn't that the guy that was claimig to have the fastest Baja on the board? Yea right!!! Like anyone is going to believe that claim now. He probably doesn't even have a boat. I have to agree with eyezlee in that most of our wives would not even think of coming on offshore only to let people know of our death if it were to happen. At least not that soon after. Most people are good, but not all. I hope this guy isn't really dead after slamming him like that. Oh well, I think Mike has made a pretty good case.

Default The company he worked for

was interested in seeing his post on OSO. Became a member in 1/02 and had over 100 post. His company wanted to see what he was posting and was it boat merchandise. I emailed donzi22 last night and asked him if he bought a prop from MERC575. He emailed me back and said yes and he got the same letter from Mrs. Smith. I think this guy was scared now that he got fired and couldn't come up with the goods he had advertised for sale???

The other thing that seemed odd was that after almost 200 responses to the "Death of a member...." thread, there was no acknowledgement from "Mrs. MERC575.......

There are now seven "guests" lurking on this thread......I wonder if "Mrs. MERC575" is watching and getting a good laugh.......

Crack a beer, pop up some corn, sit back and relax.................the show is about to begin......
