WHERE"S THE "BAT"!!!

How could those Bayliner reps tell these people that there's nothing wrong.
The damn thing's taking on water like it had the bottom ripped out. "Don't worry, just enjoy the boat".
That it's "normal"(???) for a boat to list several inches??
I like how Bayliner instructed the dealer to ram a piece of threaded rod up the dran to open the limber holes.

Totally inexcuseable.
I know that California has some very tough consumer protection laws and they should be put to good use.

All I can say is WOW!!

Sorry guys, but I find this story a little unbelievable...there are inconsistancies that bother me and with the amount of fiction posted on message boards lately, I am a bit skeptical...

At best, she's embellished quite a bit...at worst, it's a total piece of fiction...Has anyon ever heard of these Marinas mentioned in her post? At the risk of sounding chauvinistic, does it bother anyone that as a Bayliner owner, she knows what a limber hole is and tells us it takes 5 hours to bail a 20 foot boat with a 115volt pump?

I am going to take an ass chewing for this statement...but nothing else ever seemed to bother me. SO......in this day and age....."THE CUSTOMER" has gone long by the wayside in order to gaint he almighty $$DOLLAR$$. Business' from the manufacture down to the dealer do not give a **** about the customer anymore. OR I SHOULD SAY.....a greater portion of them. There are still a few left..........but fading fast. Because the keep their markup down which effects the longevity of the business to sustain.
GIVE ME YOUR MONEY-------NEXT, PLEASE

I have to believe this was a totally made up story. NO ONE is stupid enough to take a boat that was 75% filled with water and KEEP IT!
Why isn't their insurance company stepping up to the plate?

Sorry, it is an amusing piece of writing but I don't buy it.

Where's Shorgasm?:p

G' I'm with you. After reading it a couple times I've concluded it's bogus.........

Playn 04-25-2002 06:14 PM

The story was probably a fabrication as it has dissapeared from a couple other boards and appeared on another:rolleyes:

mattyboy 04-25-2002 08:33 PM

I thought something was up, my ole lady's not gonna bail out twice, the first time it's all over! the boat thing is over and what'd they think the 3rd time would be a charm:eek:
