Anyone using transom mounted leds.

I have seen the advertisments for Ocean Led and they are bad azzz.

Any other known companies??

I installed those a few weeks ago......very cool....but they really love their lights! Pricey!

Abyss technologies in FT Lauderdale. Get at least the S-800s, Donzi put the S-600s on my boat and there not bright enough. I like the blue better then the white. I was amazed at the price difference between different companys who carry them. Good luck.

I was wanting to put these on my next boat as well but had primarily only seen them on cruisers. If these are the ones that I am speaking of that are drilled into the transom, can this cause any weakness in the hull of an offshore boat that obviously takes a beating in performance running. Appreciate your responses. Hammer

Don't rush perfection my friend, trust me, the purchase won't embarrass you when it is completed, I might, but the boat will not!!!!!! Back to the question you jerk, any ideas on compromising the hull with the LED's?

Thanks for the reply guys, as far as compromising the structure, I am concerned with any holes I drill in the transom or bottom.

I wouldn't think there would be any structtural concerns unless the thru hull ......like any was not properly fitted and sealed. Then you naturally will eventually end up with a soft transom, bottom etc...Especially in a cored boat.

Ocean Led now has a flush mount were only the wire goes through and also one that the wire is actualy on the top of the light and is run on the exterior of the transom.

Just ordered one of these for the Cig. Using it as a stern light. I don't really like to boat at night so I just wanted something that would be semi-legal if I got caught out. The one pictured has a tall base. Mine has a base about 3/8" tall.
