Default The Last Resort

When David and Chrissann picked me up at the airport in the "Rusty Zipper" they docked at The Last Resort. I commented on the metal art and David said that whenever there is a full moon the art work gets loaded up with firewood and it's quite a show. Worked great until they set the building on fire once. LOL

Look me up when you come to Marco next winter. If I'm not there ....... I could be here !!
Bob

Will do when I get over to Marco

How does the cost compare to running her back on her bottom Vs shipping to Fla
Need to make a shipping cradle?

Thank you
Jim

My trailer was put on a ship Monday at FLL and will arrive in St Thomas on the 22nd. I will run PREDATOR over to St Thomas on the 22nd or 23rd and load boat onto the trailer instead of having a cradle built. Cost to ship the trailer down was only $1,000.00 instead of $3,000.00 to have a cradle built. They will then place on a ship going to Ft Lauderdale for about $5,000.00. That is a bit less than the cost of fuel for the trip back. Saves some wear and tear on the boat as well as myself and frees up my time.

I think about 1,400 miles due to a bit of zig zag to get to some of the stops we wanted. I am curious as well so I am going to plot the route on my chart plotter to know for sure. Will let you know, Rob.

Hello Bob

Not all that bad considering the possible issues that could arise on the way back to FLL on her bottom
Good thinking about the trailer. wasn't sure how much a cradle would cost?

Thank you

Enjoy your Stay in BVI.

Google Earth shows 1108 miles, straight-line distance from St Thomas to Ft Lauderdale.

Of course, we all know ain't no such thing as a straight line on a trip like that.

Small world. The white 28 Cigarette pictured earlier belonged to a friend of mine for years and was kept on Georgian Bay most of it's life. I used to drive it out 12 Mile Bay as a kid (35 years ago) on the way to his cottage. Thanks Jay for the photos, they bring back some good memories.

A couple quick pics for now. The first is self explanatory. The second Bob took as he and I were admiring the beautiful scenery while having cocktails at a neighboring watering hole.
