If Bob and Jay are in Guanica ,, they can stay the night at the CopaMarina resort,, Really nice place and great resturant
Lets see when they check in
They can head off tomorrow to the Fajardo area or even to the islands of Vieques or Culebra then to St Thomas.
Thank you
Jim

I wondered why they went south of pr.....But if you think of it it would be a smoother ride if they stay south come north of vieques and south of culebra. I hope they look out for the reef south of culebra. Do you think the nortech could fit under the bridge in culebra?

Puerto Plata, DR to Ponce, PR
We are now in our rooms at the Ramada Inn in downtown Ponce. The boat is on "B" dock at the Ponce Yacht Club. There will be no party tonight as we had a tough day out there and we are both beat. The day started off so unbelievably nice back at Puerto Plata. The beauracracy there is nuts. Contrary to what I was told, no bribes were asked for. I did tip them tho and they are looking forward to our return. We did not get away till after 11 AM and that made it tough to do 300 miles to San Juan. After the first 40 miles the weather turned real nasty on us. A front came thru with wind, rain and seas picking up. For half the day we could only run 35 to 40 MPH safely. Every half hour the seas would change on us. 3 times I altered our course between the north and south shore of PR. After I concluded we could not get settled into a slip in San Juan before dark, I decided to head for the south shore which was the right thing to do.
I think we will just hang here for tomorrow and head across to BVI and get settled in there Thursday. I still have some steering issues that need looked at and there are mechanics here so will take care of that as well.
I will check our mileage but think it was in the neighborhood of about 240 - 260 miles which was decent given the conditions.
I will have to leave it to Jay to post pics. I had my hands full driving today
