|

Ok..... I feel like I got a little "hosed"....pun intended..... He charged me $650. He did a really great job but with no cabin, trailer, or bilige I thought it was a bit pricey. I am not one to bit*h and moan so I won't, I am just curious what everyone else was paying/charging.
nards444....... I usually do it myself but from time to time I will pay someone to do it. New house + 2yr old daughter+ busy at work = paying someone to do it....... I always wax it a second and third time throughout the season but the first is always a bi*ch.... |
I get $18 a foot for buff and wax exterior only from the hard chine up (performance style boats only cabin cruiser style boats are $24 a foot). I dont think $650 is to far out of line as long as you are happy with the results. Cabin/trailer/bilge can double the cost of detailing.
Hey if your lookin for a nice product to get you between details give this stuff a try. It works like one of those automotive spray detailers but is for gelcoat finishes. I swear buy it, i have used it on the 38 almost since new and the boat still looks fantastic. Best of all you can get it at Lowes for like four bucks a can. I keep a few of them handy and use it for quick detailing. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...W55QH0Z7QQDPYD |

Port Charlotte / Ft. Myers, FL
A year ago, I paid $25/foot, came to $750 for my Skater, which is way to high. Three weeks ago I did it my self, it had not been done in way to long, so it needed a bit more work, and it took me 12-16 hours, over 4 days. My brother-in-law just paid $10/foot, and she did a excelent job. |
