Default Sea Strainer flow issue??

Just picked up a set of Latham Marine strainers and while preparing to install see that the incoming hose from the Bravo is 11/4" and the strainer is 1". Is this an issue?? Why wouldn't the inlet on the strainer be 11/4" as it seems this would be fairly standard?

My assumtion is that sea strainers are available in several inlet / outlet sizes so as to accommodate different applications. Did you inquire w/ your supplier as to whether they offer a 1-1/4??

1" is fairly standard. I just used 1" x 1-1/4 hose barb fittings from Hardin Marine. The fitting I.D. is good, and that is what counts!
