Wellcraft excalibur 42 prop pitch
was wondering if anyone who has this boat could tell me what props they are running. I have four blade Hydromotives with a 20 pitch on it and can only get 40 mph top out of it. Them motors have high comp pistons and 850 carbs so they are not stock and I thought I would get a lil more out of it.

We get this question often, The general questions you need to answer are:
1: What are rpms @WOT?
2. What is speed @WOT?
3. Current pitch on Prop?
4. Are tabs operating correctly?
5. What is the trim level you are at?
Most times you have to add much more than general info. No one wants to guess how much experence you have or offend you in any way.
Not to long ago someone asked a similar question and it turned out that he did not know you could trim a drive. With a 42 footer I would assume that you have a bit of knowledge of boats and there operation.
Run through it step by step on next poast to avoid 30 posts to figure out somthing obvious. These are smart people and with enough info they can save you from pulling out your hair.
