With the bunks on the trailer, we took the boat / trailer and the new trailer to the lake to move the boat over. This was an anxious moment because we left VERY LITTLE clearance between the bunks and the sides of the tunnel. This was to prevent the sponsons from compressing when trailering. Also, the tops of the bunks are relieved the full length to "place" the boat when loading without providing a spot for the sponsons to hang up.

The boat was brought back to the shop and final preparations were made: engine oil, transmission oil, steering, trim, etc. The engines were primed with oil and fuel and hooked up top the hose. Both engines fired immediately. We had used tape to protect the carbs from dirt and debris during assembly. The adhesive had clogged nearly all of the air bleeds so the engines idled rough. After cleaning, the engines were again started on the hose to set the idle and floats. We then changed oil and replaced fuel filters. Time to go to the lake......

Two weeks ago we pulled the boat 40 miles to a gas station serving NON-ethanol fuel. Another 10 miles and we are at the lake. The boat was backed in, started and warmed up for 10 to 15 min. - all systems go.
The boat was unloaded, trim full in, 1/4 to 1/2 throttle and right up on plane. We had started with a set of 18x30 4 blades. The drives had been raised so we did not know what to expect with regards to going on plane. After 30 minutes of low speed running, we brought the boat back to the trailer and installed 16x34 5 blades - again, right on plane.
The boat was run for roughly 3 hours. The high speed for the day was an effortless 80 MPH at a little over 3500 RPM.
We have since brought the boat home, minor issues corrected, and a final detail/wax was completed TODAY.
A video will be provided after the next outing.
