Sorry Marc! You beat me to it. I don't see a spot to delete my thread.

Very sad. Thank God the kids were alright.

I was idling in Sunday night in the dark following the channel I have followed for 30 years now, and I completely missed the entire marker. It is SO hard to see at night - I can't imagine EVER getting on plane at night.

OMG this is so sad... what a tragedy. So glad to hear the kids are Ok.

very sad , it happened here a few weeks ago , a runabout 18footer with 2 guys and 3girls 2 girls died hit a bunch of rocks in RI in the bay there was a green can thats lit at night. this happened at 2am. lake winni in NH that pushed the speed limit threw moved up night time from 25 which is high to 35 at night good old congress day time is 45. glad I have the ocean. at night you just can't see stuff = boats, rocks, people in water, logs, and BARGES that are being pushed from behind or towed with 400 ft of line. I hope everyone recovers quick god blessthem.

Agreed - the majority of these accidents you hear about with deaths and substaintal injuries involve speed at night (often with alcohol as a further catalyst).
