Eddie Marine billet drop down step ?????

Anybody use one of these steps. They are held in the closed position by magnets. I'm looking to mount it in a area that is on about a 70* angle in front of the passenger seat. I don't want it to bounce open when not in use. Just wondering how strong the magnets are.......http://www.eddiemarine.com/store/car...l&p=26409&c=31

I've been looking for a smaller version of the one you see on the back of firetrucks.

Haven't been looking very hard...but thought it would be a good idea for deck access from the cockpit.

Something like this:

JDUB,

What's going on? I ordered a set and had them drop shipped to PPI. They are currently installing them in the new interior of G-FORCE. I should have the interior installed within the next couple of weeks, I 'll let you know how they turn out.

Hey John,

I had considered getting one for that exact spot. Let me know if you put one on, I want to check it out.

I won't be using them for deck access. My wife can't reach the footrest in the Kryptonite so I thought one of these would work. When she not using it it could fold up and be out of the way.

Hey Rich next time you talk to PPI have them pull one open to see how strong the magnets are. I talked to Eddie Marine and of course they said they haven't had any complaints. Let me know what they say. PPI huh?....that should look badass.....when's she hitting the water?

Phil you need to worry about getting back so we can put that motor in....not footrests :lolhit:
