In both cases then, where fo they put the extra 3 feet? engine room? cockpit? or 1 1/2 in each?

Yes I am sure. I think I need to recheck my measurements for you, I was doing it along with other things and went pretty quick, that would be the difference in measurements I imagine.

The 386 with trips has a smaller cockpit. the 386 with twins has a Lot of space ahead of the engines. The 35 has a small cockpit, big cabin. the 38 big cockpit, same big cabin. The 42/45 share the largest cabin, but the 42 cockpit is smaller than a 38's, the 45 cockpit is larger. 42 and 45 have side by side bolsters.

Sonics are semi custom built boats, there will be differences between even the same models. My buddies 386 had a section of floor sunk about 3" for a taller driver to stand in at the front bolster. Lots of small differences.

I didn't know the donzi cabin was so large. I look forward to seeing your chart.

Did some editing, #'s are correct now. Sorry!

GO4BROKE is right 35's and 38's are the same.(except 1999 and older). They come out of the same mold. The 42' and 45's come from the same mold.
