Hey Dono,
Gotta love that truck, I have one also with the ext. cab in black.Man i love it, I run it around town with the overdrive off. Truck is a little hot rod, i set it up with :
SS Bull bar from Westin
Platinum Nerf bars from Westin
Piaa 1500 in the rear
Piaa 520 up front
Pro Comp 305 all around "they rub just a litte bit" on the
original 16" wheels
remote start
tinted the front windows 20% to match the rest of the windows
A.R.E. cap
Man..thats alot of crap
PS i ran the truck down to Miami for the boat show when I first bought it. Truck did 90 MPH at 2,500 rpm's, ran like a car. I'm thinking of putting sway bars on it, what do you think?
Best of luck with you truck,
zzie

fountain1fan,
Those are all very good points. But when it's all said and done you'll still have a Dodge with the same tranny. There's no question that the Cummins motor is one hell of a motor. Can't say the same about the tranny though.

Nice truck Dono !
I'm a Dodge fan but definitly have to agree that the trans. is the weak link. Although I haven't heard of many newer (01-02's) breaking like the earlier ones did.
A friend of mine just bought a Dmax and it's definitly more plush than the Dodge but I didn't see too much difference in the way they rode though. We both have 285 BF all terrain T/A's on and those might make the ride softer.
My opinion is the Cummins is by far the superior engine , but with more noise than the Dmax.
