I own a 99 Proline 200 sport and love it. Not the fastest with a merc 150 on the back but it is one tough SOB. I have run the chit out of it in Lake Ponchartrain, the gulf and been in some nasty 8'ers in Destin. The boat doesn't have a single stress crack any where. We did have a bow rail come loose but no big deal. I went with the Proline because I wanted a boat that could handle the abuse we would put it thru and the ride it gives us in the rough. I have also been 100 miles out in this boat and didn't think twice about it.

I see some boats mentioned are under 25'. Will these handle the waters and how rough of a ride? Thought that I needed at least 25 feet to bridge across the waves. Appreciate all of the suggestions. I've been looking in the used boat sites for those mentioned.

Check out Jupiter and Intrepid.
Latest Saltwater mag tested the Jupiter 26 with either 2 150's or a single 350 Verado. |

Let me know if you know of any of these boats are used/for sale. I'll take a look at the Jupiter and Intrepid. The Albury Brothers looks like a nice boat.
