Default Converting from Triple O/B's to Twin O/B's?

If someone were considering swapping three outboards for a pair of newer outboards, would the boat still use the same placement as the port and starboard outboards?

Im confused as to if the motors are spaced differently on the transom when you have three versus two motors. Could you remove the center engine and run the boat with twins without having adverse affects to the handling?

Are triple o/b boats laid up specifically for triples?

Cat -or- V?

Yes -or- No, same question would apply to a twin setup.

Yes -or- No (see above)

Yes -or- No, maybe Transom and/or a Pod (cat)

If there is a bracket, NO you need one for twins with 26" spacing. If you remove the middle motor the outboard motors will be too far apart. Is this on a V hull ? "HIGH LIFE"

Nope the 2 outside outboards are to far apart for a V bottom.

The boat he is talking about is a 30 Spectre Cat. Depending on how the boat was rigged the outer two motors should be in the right location.

Its on a cat, yes. The 30 spectre that was mentioned earlier. So if the center engine was removed and the shifters/throttles were replaced with a twin setup everything should be kosher running the two outside engines alone, right?

I know, right?! But I still would MUCH rather prefer to be behind the throttles!
