Am I missing something you are going from not owning any type of powerboat to a 42 lightning with possibly 700s in it and no one on here is going to mention that maybe you should start with something alittle smaller and slower for your first boat

But yes, I agree 100%, even if you've owned several non performance boats over the years, stepping into a 42' with 1400 HP is a pretty big jump. |

I believe he has another thread going as well, and in that one he mentioned having owned several boats over the years, but this would be his first true performance boat. Unless there are two guys looking at the same boat. :)

I agree... but he should have a working knowlege of basic seamanship from his previous boats . As far Going from cruiser to performance boat I would HIGHLY taking Tres's class . I basically did the same thing going from cruiser to performance and took Tres's class was the best thing I could have done.
PS go with the 700's :drink: |
Thanks Guys,
I think I will go for Tres Martin's class. Safety comes first at sea. I have also decided on the 700s :) What do you guys think of this boat on OSO classified add no 29813??? |
Love the paint... I feel the price maybe a little high
Here are some other 42's http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o32812-en.html http://www.boattrader.com/listing/20...tning-96492734 http://www.legendmarinegroup.com/sea...&Make=Fountain |
